STUDENT CIIUNCIL it .9-S. 30 Student Council represented the combined legisla- tive and executive branches of student government at Erasmus Hall. Meetings of this group were held bi-monthly, and both teacher and student members discussed important matters for the benefit of the Erasmus community. The leaders of all school clubs and organizations participated on the Council in an attempt to improve our school by increasing physi- cal facilities and student participation programs. Student Council carried on many functions un- known to some of the student body. For example, it Was the job of the Student Council, with the assistance of the school treasurer, to allot yearly funds for the operation of our school's departments. Even our Bur? and Blue Day Dance, held on Decem- ber 19, would never have taken place Without the aid of Student Council. One of our most successful extravaganzas of the year 1959 was the Sing. This exciting musical competition required conscientious preparation by Council members. A Therefore, We owe the Student Council a vote of thanks for having created some of the most Wonderful memories of our years at the Old Crey School.
