General Organization Officers Term 6 Left to right General Organization Officers, Term 7: Left to right: Secretary Carol Rogof President Philip Satow Vice Vice-President Larry Freiser, Secretary Lucy Helfant, President H arrzet Gellm President Fred Ansis. THE GENERAL 0RGANIZATION Under the guidance of Iohn P. Campana, our G.O. effectively continued the Work of an historic school organization, established in 1897. At that time, it was probably the only organization of its kind in the United States. Its 400 members paid twenty-live cents in dues. Changing times have increased membership ten fold and dues to fifty cents semi- annually. Also illustrative of changes are the election of officers by the entire student body, rather than a delegation composed of two from each class. The responsibilities of our G.O. were varied. It sponsored the Student Assembly and all of our athletic teamsg organized the Student Guidance Committee and inaugurated informal, after-school dances. 29
