CLASS PROPHECY Now let us look into the future and see what the Class of 1949 is doing for pleasure, or because they don't know any better -------- We find Syble Felker attending a nursing school where she has just given a patient a dose of bat poison because someone said he had bats in his belfry. Johnny Agee, at the end of two years, is still studying at Draughons, and waiting for his steak dinner. Hugh Bentley has worn out one typewriter, bought another, and still can't WPG- Alvina Srnith is still running from Crystal Pearce, who is trying to pinch her cheek. Charles Samek is still flirting with all the girls: but, even now, he can't find the right one. Laura Brandon is now the head in a cabbage Cannery. fkrautheadl Nettie Kirk will draw straws at noon today to determine whether she will be wed to Jack or Norris tonight. Wanda Diclcman and J . C. will be married on April Fool's Day. Joyce Collier has just been elected cuspidor in a Negro church. Juanita Samek is attending Junior College and running a hot-dog stand in the hall. Sybil Balthrop is now living in La. hiding from--guess who! Winston Roach is running a marble gallery on Kress' corner. Ryborn Kirby has a good crop of cockle burrs for the third consecutive year. Beth Moore has settled down with the Ford that has been in her future for so long. Crystal Pearce is now the owner of Hick's Cafe. Larry Kilmer is trying to sell Calumet Baking Powder with the rising action to the people living in the Flat Creek community. fWe'll have an above sea-level city soon.l Douglas Selby still spends all his spare time, and most of his other time chasing Valley View girls. Pat Masten is waiting for Leonard to come home from over-seas to live with her in down-town Era. Tommy Masten is going to college, where he is still comparing grades. June Berry, who is now Mrs. Kilmer, is home putting candles on a mud pie. Tomorrow is Larry Junior's birthday. 1, Barbara Bragg, am now chief rat chaser in the Muenster Cheese Plant. And, dear friends, this is the prophesied life of each dignified Senior through the year of 1952.
