Johnny Agee, at the end of two years, is still studying at Draughons, and waiting for his steak dinner. Hugh Bentley has worn out one typewriter, bought another, and still can't WPG- Alvina Srnith is still running from Crystal Pearce, who is trying to pinch her cheek. Charles Samek is still flirting with all the girls: but, even now, he can't find the right one. Laura Brandon is now the head in a cabbage Cannery. fkrautheadl Nettie Kirk will draw straws at noon today to determine whether she will be wed to Jack or Norris tonight. Wanda Diclcman and J . C. will be married on April Fool's Day. Joyce Collier has just been elected cuspidor in a Negro church. Juanita Samek is attending Junior College and running a hot-dog stand in the hall. Sybil Balthrop is now living in La. hiding from--guess who! Winston Roach is running a marble gallery on Kress' corner. Ryborn Kirby has a good crop of cockle burrs for the third consecutive year. Beth Moore has settled down with the Ford that has been in her future for so long. Crystal Pearce is now the owner of Hick's Cafe. Larry Kilmer is trying to sell Calumet Baking Powder with the rising action to the people living in the Flat Creek community. fWe'll have an above sea-level city soon.l Douglas Selby still spends all his spare time, and most of his other time chasing Valley View girls. Pat Masten is waiting for Leonard to come home from over-seas to live with her in down-town Era. Tommy Masten is going to college, where he is still comparing grades. June Berry, who is now Mrs. Kilmer, is home putting candles on a mud pie. Tomorrow is Larry Junior's birthday. 1, Barbara Bragg, am now chief rat chaser in the Muenster Cheese Plant. And, dear friends, this is the prophesied life of each dignified Senior through the year of 1952. O R S : . It being the first game for both teams, several mistakes were made but the Hornets were in complete control all of the way. The second game was also played at home against the Alvord Bulldogs. Both teams showed strong ground games, but runs of 60, 58, and 30 yards f.or touchdowns made the score Z0 to 0 in Era's favor. The third game was at Pilot Point where the big and fast Pilot Point team completely swept the Hornets off their feet. The Bearkats won 33 to 0. The fourth game at Boyd was one of Era's best games. The score was 6 to 6, penetrations were the same at two each, but the Hornets led in first downs 15 to 9. The fifth game at home against Sanger was close all the way with Era on top with everything but the score. Sanger won 13 to 7. The sixth game at Bryson was won by Bryson 33 to 7. The Hornets started slow and made the Bryson boys a gift of Z7 points in the first half before the Hornets came back to score 7 points to 6 for the Bryson team in the last half. The seventh game with Lewisville at home was very close. The score at the half was 0 to 0, but three freak touchdowns gave the Farmers a 19 to 0 victory. The eighth game at Bridgeport was a run-away by the superior Bullies 47 to 0. The Bullies went to the Regional Championship game before meeting defeat. The ninth game at home with St. Jo was played in a fog and the Panthers walked off with a 48 to 0 victory. The last game was played at Valley View with the Eagles. The game was played in bitter cold, and the spirits of both ball clubs were chilled. The Eagles played a superior ball game and won 1-9 to 6, but the Hornet! were in the ball game until the- final whistle. A ERA'S ROSTER FOR 1948 The following boys are the boys who carried the Black and Gold of Era into the games of the 1948 season: Johnny Agee, Ryborn Kirby, Tommy Mas- ten, Larry Kilmer, Charles Samek, Donald Gregory, Tommy Hunter, Dale Berry, Bill Beard, James Lewis, Wayne Berry, Maurice Scott, Hulen Scott, Dee Clements, Charles Enderby, Tommy Richardson, Demps Knight, W.
