Recently at the fabulous Doradele Theatre rn Hollywood Caltfornra dur rng mtermrssron of the premier showing of The Red Hrlls of Georgra duected by that very outstandtng and drstrngurshed director BERNICE MILLSAPS and starring that man about town EARL DEAN who had all the ladres swoonmg the househghts drmmed and a spotlrght began prclung out drstmgurshed per sonages tn the audtence It fell frrst on the Secretary General of the Unrted Natrons BARBARA COLLIS who rntroduced Professors NANCY BROWN and CLEDIS DILLARD re cently honored for therr Improvements to the Ernstein Theory Next the spotlight swung to the President of the Umted States JACKIE CALLII-IAN and three members of hrs cabmet Secretaries of the Army and Navy RUTH ANN BEA VERS and BETTY CRAWFORD and Treasurer of the Unrted States CECIL STUART The spotlrght was drawn to the center arsle where our attentron was fo cused on the dare dev1l racers TRAVIS BLACK and BOBBY JOE MARTIN who had just flmshed one of then most darmg and death defymg acts At almost heavy werght boxmg champlon tripped over Jockey HERMAN DEAN S Golden Whrp upon enterrng the theatre and was soon berng treated for a spram by the br1ll1ant and capable DR, JAMES BENNETT and hrs assxstants nurses BARBARA HARPER and ANN LONG who had st1l1 remained close frrends through the years As the orchestra led by the renowned orchestra leader GENE PHILLIPS prepared us for the openmg scene l glanced at the program and recognrzed such famous and famrhar names as DOROTHY CORN drrector and speech su pervrsor HELEN QUINTRELL destgner of the beauttful costumes and RUTH MAE MCDANIEL and ELENE GREEN who were cast as the leading actresses The clever lmes in the movre were written by LORENE KYLE The movie was hrghlrghted by the lovely smgrng of ALICE BURNETT and w1l1 surely make a btg hlt wrth the popular Hollywood critic CLAUDE ABERNATHY who had al ready grven KATHERINE HANEY Edrtor of the Hollywood Gazette a good adverusement story Later rn the lobby I chatted wxth Prlot TOMMY BENNETT and Stewardess HENRIETTA STILLWELL who had caught the prernler between flrghts and called hello to IRENE TIPTON and HUGH DON FOWLER coaches of the Globe Trotters, who were engrossed rn conversatron wlth Dral Telephone Com the same time a big uproar occurred as LONIS ROCKY' DILLARD, the world's
