He is a very good student. Drives a blue ’54 Plymouth, which all the girls are crazy about. Is it Billy or the car? COOPER AYSCUE The quiet type...or is he? Dark eyes and black hair. Being an outdoor man, he likes hunting, fishing and also the beach. He is a very handsome man, look¬ ing for a gorgeous girl. He wants to go into Secret Service work af¬ ter he finishes school. ELLIE ROSE AYSCUE Beautiful dark hair , blue eyes and longest lashes ever. Even though she doesn’t “lug” books home, she’s got the brains and makes top honors. Star basketball play¬ er. Fun to be with andniceto talk to. Wants to join the WAVES. Can play a piano and sing beau¬ tifully. She’s sure to succeed. Seniors HELEN BARNES Helen entered our class just this year from Townsville. With her good personality and sweet dis¬ position she has won many friends. Glad she chose E. H. S. BETSY ROSE BECKHAM “Good things come in small pack¬ ages” and that sure applies to Betsy Rose. A combination of brown eyes and black hair. . . No wonder she was voted the cutest in the class. She’s a swell stu¬ dent . . .Arealfriend — OurBetsy Rose. ALTON COLLINS He’s strictly Hollywood! Too much beauty wasted on a mere man. When you see a mass of blond, curly hair and blue eyes, you’ll know it ' s “Skeeter’ . Where there’s “Skeeter there will always be a laugh. ELLEN DEMENT If you see typewriter keys flying, you’ll know the “Queen of EHS Commercial Dept.” is on the beat. . . A born secretary, that’s our Ellen. Likes: French Fries, Hob Nob, and State, or is it the men at State ? With her brains and charms she is destined for big things. BETTY LOU HAYES The sweet, smiling face. . . never unhappy . . .has chosen nursing for her profession. . . her gentle- n e s s and kindness should make her a favorite of all the future patients . . .Favorite song, “Hon¬ ey Love”. . .Watch out for those Warrenton guys, Betty Lou. FAYELENE FAULKNER Fayelene i s the only Mrs . in the class. She had rather k eep house for Sidney than come to school, but she thought she had better finish her high school education. Since she has her housework to do she makes good use of her time. Where there’s Fayelene, there’s a smile. . . and a book. Seniors CECILE LASSITER Green eyes , black hair , and sweet personality. . . favorite pastime is listening to Dream Time. Her motto: keep ’em guessing! Plays good basketball, loves music, and is a Beta member. Fine gal . . . our Cecile . CCRRINE GOODSON Wherever there’s fun and gaiety, there’s Corrine. Enjoys dancing, and why not ? She’s one of the best. Her combination of hazel eyes and brown hair is perfect. A sweet smile, a pretty face . . . She never misses a Tony Curtis movie . F un to be around. . .What more could one want? WILLIAM LASSITER “Bill” is all right. . .he hates homework. . .never has anything to do at study period. . . but he has his eye on that diploma . Reads True Romance, and never misses Jane Russell at the movies . . . wants to get married after the last day. He ought to make it. BILLY MOSS Our own Casanova. . . voted big¬ gest flirt, so girls beware! . . . keeps a carl in his hair. . .helps him spend his Saturday nights with a special girl. Plays bas¬ ketball and baseball . . . keeps in shape by going to Skateland . . . when he isn’t driving his school bus, he’s behind the wheel of a ’50 Chevy . . . possesses a win- ning personality, ambition, brains, and a sense of humor. DOROTHY PATTERSON Her quiet ways only add to her charms. . . Secret ambition to be a missionary and with her sweet personality she’ll go f a r toward this goal. Ann hates getting up mornings but loves to eat (ice cream) . Seniors MARY ELIZABETH PATTERSON Mary Elizabeth but don’tyou dare call her “Liz’’. Tall girl. . .cap¬ able and very resourceful. . . one big weakness “The Navy’’. Quiet but not shy ... a lovely disposi¬ tion, a real pal and a true friend. Secret ambition to be an Airline Hostess. . . listens to the radio in her spare time. ANN PASCHALL “Five feet two, eyes of blue’’, known as “Bo-peep” to her friends. With her sweet person¬ ality she has won many friends in the six years she has beenwith us. Favorite past-time is writ¬ ing to an interest at State. Ann likes “You Alone’’. VANCE PATTERSON Avery tall guy that is as good as he is tall. Not adverse to study- ingwhen occasion demands it,but had rather be in the gym practic¬ ing a j um p shot that he likes to use in basketball. Vance is well- liked and a good person to pull a joke on. Can take a joke and is always ready to help in any way. ' m-M BETSY PAGE RENN Her athletic ability she puts to work on the basketball court where she racks up the scores for “Dear Old Epsom”. Her sweet smile and ways are known by everyone. Her greatest ambi¬ tion is to join the WAVES. SHIRLEY STAINBACK Lovely brown eyes and dark brown hair. . .tiny, but “valuable things come in small packages”. She wants nothing out of life but to be happy . . . and she has the combination for it; a pleasing smile, a happy disposition and the love of her fellow students. She likes skating, Jeff Chandler and “As Time Goes By” . . .Shir¬ ley is a baseball fan. . . Her sec¬ ret ambition: to travel. BETTY ROBINSON “Betty” . . . sweet, neat, lov¬ able ... you’ll never know what goes on in her little head when she’s giving you that “Silent Treatment”. Her secret ambi¬ tion is to “travel”. A twinkle in her eyes and a smile for every¬ one. Betty is a real pal. Seniors BILLIE JEAN WATKINS Her favorites are Don Earl Shaw and Dreamtime. She is a good student and her favorite subject is Spanish. She enjoys singing in the Glee Club. Her happy outlook on life and her loyalty to E. H. S. have won for her many friends. Her ambition is to be a surgical nurse. Billie Jean can’t live without her radio and chewing gum . FRANCES ROWLAND Good personality with a word for everybody. Her charming laugh¬ ter only adds to her beauty. She loathes studying but loves her so¬ cial life especially when it’s with a certain guy named “Bobby”. Frances doesn’t plan to go to col¬ lege but if she does, she’ll pro¬ bably get her “M R S” degree. ANNETTE WELDON A sweet disposition and a winning smile. That’s our Annette. Best cook in the class. . . and she sews, too. Has a great desire to go to New York and be an artist. Also has what it takes to get this. The world of tomorrow, we know, will love and honor her a s much as have the students of E. H. S. JOYCE WELDON Joyce . . . sometimes called “Doot”, is known around Epsom by her blond hair. Has gorgeous clothes and why not? She’s the best seamstress yet. Chief cheerleader and a handsome one she makes. She plans to enter college next fall. . .glad Clemson has turned Coed , but wishes State were, too. LUCY GUY WINN If y o u want a good pal. . . an all around lovable person, you have it in Lucy Guy, She likes readin’, ’riting, and ’rithmetic much bet¬ ter than sewing and cooking . . . Grade A student,loads of fun. . . that’s our gal Lucy. CLASS MOTTO “Not Finished, Just Begun” ROSE WOODARD Sparkling personality with a dia¬ mond tomatch.
