(SO Maryville, Tennessee Vanderbilt University and University of Pennsylvania S Division Officer Disbursing Officer The duties of the disbursing officer consist of the maintenance of pay records for the personnel aboard ship. He supervises the pay- ing of the crew, collects and keeps in his custody all funds attained from ship ' s store, clothing and small stores, and the recreation and welfare fund. He makes ail the disbursements necessary to keep th ship operating and keeps all records of these transactions. He is also S division officer and has under his direction the ship ' s commissarymen, storekeepers, servicemen and disbursing clerks. Their duties consist of supplying the ship with food, ship ' s store goods, and general stores.
