Executive Lieutenant Commander Robert A. Bob Persell was born 3 September 1939. An.aIumnus of the class of '61 of the University of Virginia, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from there, along with a Master of Science in international Affairs from George Washington University. He received his commission in June 1961 from NROTC. Lcdr. Persell has served as Main Battery Officer, Navigator, and ASW Officer of the USS HANK QDD 702i and as Weapons Officer aboard USS SARSFIELD QDD 8371 H is a graduate of the U. S Naval Destroyer School Nuclear Power School and the Naval War College Lcdr Persell last served on USS LONG BEACH QCGN 9y before he became Executive Officer of the EPPE He is now serving with the staff of Destroyer Flotilla Five Lcdr. Commandmg 3 fg l l - nun... III I ICBI Commander George Milton Elliot was born in Gumbovo Delaware, on 29 July, 1937, and is a graduate of the U. S. Naval 'Academy class of 1959. He was commissioned Ensign in June 1959. He has served aboard USS MEREDITH QDD 890i as MPA and Engineering Officer, Executive Officer of the USS ALACRITY QMSO 5201, and Commanding Officer of the USS MIPMUC QATF 157y. He spent a year in Vietnam where he served as Commander Coastal Division Eleven and then as Commander Coastal Division Fifteen. Before coming aboard EPPERSON as Commanding Officer, he served as Executive Officer, USS ORLECK QDD 8861 Commander Elliot holds a B. S. degree in Electrical Engineer ing from Naval Post Graduate School and an Nl. S. degree in International Affairs from George Washington University. Lieutenant Commander Thomas Lee Taylor was born on May 4 1940 in Versailles Kentucky He received his commission as Ensign on June 5 1963 after graduating with the class of 1963 at the U S Naval Academy Lcdr Taylor has served as EMO Navigator and First Lieutenant aboard USS POWER QDD 839l Weapons Officer of USS FALGOUT QDER 3243 and as CIC Officer of USS NEW JERSEY QBB 62l during her entire activation period A graduate of U. S Na.raI Destroyer School he has also 'served as in- structor at the U. S. Naval Academy. Prior to coming aboard EPPE as Executive Officer, he served with the staff of the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam.
