' Adjacent to CIC is UB plot and Sonar control. From UB and Sonar most of the confusion that seems to be associated with ASVV either originates or winds up here. On a typical working day one might expect to see a scene much like the following: In UB plot the Missouri Ridgerunnern Haas, is deciding on what MDC form to turn in. Ah, come on Feldman assumes his position on the stack. Sitting behind the computer counting his shipping-over money is regulation Navy Alexan- der. To a sonar1nan's dismay Chief VValin lights up another cigar with permission from Herb VVest of course. Iowegion Palmer has lost another coffee flip to the Chief. Later, leading sonarman Claude Earl informs us of a new casualty- Kathy's Clown has fixed the test set again. On the ASROC deck the Kid from Kansas Ketchum, Louisiana Charlie and The Green Beret Turner have just connected the test set on the wrong end of the launcher. Chief Clifton and Lev grimace at the sight. The crash crew is led by bird's nest Carlisle and his competent mechanic assistant slug Perch.
