HD DRS ASSEMBLY The 1985 Annual Honors Day Assembly was held on Monday, May 28 at 2:30 pm. The guest speaker for the occasion was Mary Vernon who spoke on the topic of art and youthful goals. Recognition in this assembly went to those persons who excelled in the academic, spiritual, and extracurricular activities of the school. This year many new awards were in- stigated by various Dallas Clubs and organizations. Among these were the Smith, Sewanee, and Yale awards given by the respective alumni. The hard work and contributions the students had made during the year appeared to have paid off. Each year the assembly grows larger and incorporates more into its program as do the awardees and those involved.
