Fine Arts Students Travel to Tulsa After the sun had set and darkness had engulfed Baton Rouge, two Trailways buses containing Episcopal students and teachers stole away into the night. For fourteen hours they would trek, Tulsa, Oklahoma, being their destination. At Holland Hall in Tulsa, EHS students acted, danced, sang, played instruments, and displayed artwork. They attended workshops designed to improve their craft. They also enjoyed performances given by students f rom private schools across the Southwest. This was the second year Episcopal has attended the Fine Arts Festival, bringing almost twice as many people as last year. Some of the presentations were astonishing. Teri Shubkin commented, “ I was extremely impressed with the other people’s talents and performances.” 1 lowever, the caliber of EHS students equaled, if not surpassed, that from the other schools. The Fine Arts Festival is an excellent forum for learning and for demonstrating the success of our up- and-coming fine arts program. 30
