With what feelings towards EHS do you associate the word challenge7 I do not know when I have not been challenged by a teacher, student, or anyone at EHS. There always seems to be some sort of competition going on. whether it be a science fair, or name that tunc with Mrs. McGuire! BeninaSohnigen. 12th grade. My challenge is to challenge students, not just to do better in English, but to look at themselves, their ideas, and their world realistically and critically.” Mrs. Susan Ragan, teacher. Through sports we can release our tensions which have built up in the course of the school day. El IS sports challenge us to achieve. • Football Team Pushes to the Goal The 1984-85 Knights football team reached peaks and struggled through valleys, finishing the season with a 4-6 record. To prepare for the strenuous season, players attended the First Annual EHS Football Camp. The Knights defeated Jules Sumner 10-0 at the Jamboree and Berwick 3-0, with Jim I larris' thirty-eight yard field goal, at the first home game. Other season highlights included a Homecoming victory and the first victory ever against Ascension Catholic at Donaldsonville. Individual players attained personal goals. Neil Abramson set an Episcopal record for career passing yardage, and Jim I larris set the record for career number of field goals and most field goals in one game, having three in the Ascension Catholic game. Johnny Powers now holds the El IS record for most tackles in a game, season, and career. In addition, numerous players won top honors in the district, parish, and state. Knight’s goallinc defense prepares tostopa CHS offensive drive. Phoioby M. Stuckey Neil Abramson and Bruce Weller scramble around the end on an option play. Phoioby M.
