The Demoiselles endeavored to accomplish two mayor obyec- tives during the school year, service to our school and service to our community. For the school, we took on responsibilities such as hostessing parent's night in Sept., helping the Mother's Guild by serving at the November Supper Auction, and sponsoring a buffet meal for the coaches and referees at the annual invitational basketball tournament in December. Our fund-raising tasks con- sisted of a candied apple-popcorn ball sale in the fall, a spring fashion show, and a bake sale. On Dec. 21, our organization boxed Christmas toys for the Volunteers of America and on Dec. 23, delivered them to needy families. We hope through our pro- jects we have shown an interest to those living around us as well as to our own school. With that in mind, our main projects this year were building the Outdoor Studyhall and Amphitheater, and a system of nature trails. We wish to thank everyone who helped to make the Studyhall, as well as the year, a success. 147
