EHS Players ' 4, iii fl? ' ' H 1 ' H4 V I ,X,,. . v,,saMM,,.,.,,ga,,.,,,,,..,z All the world's a stage And all the men and women merely players. As You Like It fAct II, Sc. 7, Line 1395 The stage at Episcopal is growing - summer workshop produced PENELOPE, PRIDE, OF THE PICKLE FACTORY for the Baton Rouge Community Arts Festival and the newly named Episcopal Players then repeated their performance for the opening of school. Halloween was the occasion for a Wear-A-Costume Day to raise money for the Players' productions. Many hours of rehearsing saw the presentation of a night of one-acts, THE WIDOW and A THING OF BEAUTY and a rare treat was provided by playwright Maurice Berger who wrote A THING OF BEAUTY when he met with the players to discuss his play and characters with the cast. Plans for the spring include a workshop production by the Speech class and hopefully a full-length play. The Players are attempting to bring the stages of the world to Episcopal High and to introduce all who are interested to our world - the stage. 143
