ST, MARTINS on the iaith . . . We came to school at 1:00 Sat. for the long bus ride to the game . , . total disaster with not much to say . . . O-55. Next came ALBANY, Hank was unbelievable . . . he had 4 fumble recoveries . . . with total team effort the final was 27-O. . , Nothing can be sweeter than the taste of victory!! LIVONIA liked to hit nnore than win . . . So since it is more blessed to give than to received, we gave them a good whipping . . . 26-0. There was finally a half decent writeaup in the paper. . . But, Russell sprained his ankle. Sibley out with a form of asthma . . , at least Charlton was back. LIVE OAK coached by Davis, should be a hard hitting game. Witli 26-O victory we had now shut our last 3 opponents . . . all thoughts on U-High. U-HIGH. our rivals was played at Bernie Moore T1'.xt'l4 Stadium , . .astro-turf. . ,Wheat U-High . . . our only tonsolation was that we lost to a good team . . . O-21.

We were served steaks so big they covered the plate and were two inches thick . . . thank the Lord it's Saturday and we can go home! Our first game, the PORT ALLEN JAMBOREE . , . Sibley just called coach, heis got a 105 temperature, No rain at camp when you need it, but it rains all week before the first game . . . A loss with O-12 but we still held our confidence. We had a good teamg we just didnit get it all together . . . Camptains for the season were Ramey and Hodges, two fine choices. NORTH PIKE on September 6 . . . The team spirit was great! What a way to start the season off right, with injuries! . . , Weather was fantastic for football, nice and cool . , . We found out that Shallcross was ineligible because the LHSAA had never received his birth certificate . . . It was a close game until the fourth quarter, we had a chance but blew it! 28 to 12 . . . you have to know the bad to appreciate the good.

Homecoming Week was a most festive time . , . We were pretty confident that we could take CENTRAL CATHOLIC . . . This was the first time we played at Westdale and the field was in good shape . . . Their 37 yard field goal made the difference. We knew ASCENSION CATHOLIC would be tough because they were last yearis champion . . . The length of the game took its toll . . . We lost O-34 and the only thing to do was to prepare ourselves for the final game with St. john. ST. JOHN, the number one team in our district . . . We completely changed our offense to confuse them, and it did most of the time . . . With this loss of 34-O we ended a somewhat disheartening season. 116
