J5' 3 4,12 Track marks both a beginning and an end forthe school life at EHS. lt falls at the beginning of the ACCOLADFS planning year and the final sports event of the school calendar. This dichotomy holds in one other area of track f the nature of the sport itself. It is one sport that, while a team total is kept and some events have members, most events put the individual on display to either Succeed or fail according to his own ahility. Witli only one winner per event land a host of losers, if you can call it thatl. the individual feels the intense excitement of his own accolades or the lonely dissappointment of loss before the eyes of all spectators. ln track, the individual has truly been on display. At Episcopal High no sport is emphasized less fof the three maior oncsj yet no team has done as well as the track team in district fist, last three yearsl or hi-district competition. Maybe this sport says a lot about the individual will of many of our athletes to excell both as members of a team and asa person, . To forecast success Kas ,,f W 'H .
