ALBERT W, WARNER Principal of Ephrata High School PROGRESS is our middle name. In the past seven years the Ephrata High Schoolhas shown progress innumbers, in- creasing from an enrollment of 12.8 to an enrollmentof about 300. This is an increase of 134070. In the same period it has shown progress in teaching staff and course offerings. The teaching staff has increased from seven to seventeeng the number of classes has grown from thirty-four to sixty-nine, and the variety of subjects offered increased from twenty- eight to forty-one. We can expect this progress to continue for the next few years. With the opening of the lands in the surrounding area to irrigation, more families will come to this area, bringing more students to Ephrata High School, requiring more teachers to handle the classes and broadening the high school program. The more teachers available on the high school staff, the greater the variety of subjects that can be offered. With the cooperation of the students and parents from Adrian, Grant Orchards, Wheatland, Soap Lake, Ephrata, and surrounding areas, the progress of this high school can be toward a larger and better school which can better equip its students to meet the problems of every day living. If everyone will put his shoulder to the wheel and work together, the Ephrata High School will progress.

Q NOBLE S. MOODHE Superintendent of Ephrata Schools Each passing year has resulted in a growing Ephrata High School enrollment, with the result that this year, the increased enrollment has createda most difficult classroom housing situation. Recognizing the need, plans are now underway to con- struct a new high school plant adequate to meet the secondary educational needs of our growing, progressive community. Progress requires a vision ofa need, a plan to solve the need, a will to do, and cooperation in the fulfillment of the realization of the plan. As we plan for our new highschool, all of the above re- quirements have been met and we can look forward to an adequate building which will provide modern, up-to-date facilities designed for a bigger and better Ephrata High School. These facilities should make it possible for your school to offer better opportunities for secondary scholastic achievement. Yes, it is something to look forward to. It represents progress .
