Q U O Aaforg of My 270.9 - nnero After completing the eighth grade in Junior High School, thirty- five eager Freshmen entered High School in the fall of 1945. On No- vember 15,an enlightening initiation was administered by the upper classmen. To start our Freshman year we elected officers, chose our motto and class colors, and picked our flower. After a hot argument we decided on green and white for our colors and gladiolus for our flower. Soon came 1946-473 we were just one step closer to our goal. The outstanding event of the year was helping with the Freshman initiation. Now with confidence born of two years of high school life, we breezed into 1947-48 for more required but not needed knowledge. We were kept busy and had our class play entitled A Case of Springtime, which was a huge success. The Junior-Senior banquet and the Junior Prom were both planned to perfection. We also helped with the gradu- ation by decorating. After this year we were even more anxious to meet our Senior year, 1948-49 brought us many enjoyable moments. Our Senior play Tiger House' was an exciting, well done play, and putting our num- eral on the hill was our pride and joy--especially getting away with it so secretly. Afterwards we enjoyed a lovely breakfast. Late in April was the Junior-Senior Prom. This was an exciting, enjoyable event. Also was the well planned sneak. At last we, the Class of 49 have come to the end of a phase of life, one of the most important, but we will have with us always the fond memories of our four years at E.H.S. We also wish to thank lviiss Raudabaugh for her most helpful guidance and assistance during our Senior year at Ephrata High School. The higher we climb, the broader our view - Senior Motto.
