The three girls did a very good job in leading the yells at our football and bas- ketball games. The student body de- cided they wouldn't elect a Yell Queen because ot the fact that the three girls were all equal in their ability to lead the yells. ' This club is an honorary organization made up of the Senior High girls in school functions. In order to become members of Pep Club girls must meet point and scholastic requirements. The purpose of the Pep Club is to create pep and school spirit at all games. The clul:-'s activities for the year included the initiation of new members for both semesters, decorating and advertising for the Grant County Tournament, participating in the selling and taking of tickets at all games. Mmm 37104151 Reel BASEBALL Ephrata started out their second year of base- ball under Coach Roth. Many of the players of the l946 Grant County championship team re- turned this year. After a poor start with a defeat by Moses Lake and Wenatchee our morale was lowered some, but we are still pulling for a place in the honor- ary finals. The season so far does not look very promis- ing, but We hope that in the near future our baseball team will be better established. TENNIS This year we made a fresh start in tennis, under the coaching of Mr. Moodhe, who is a good player himself. Although none of the players had had much experience, we had a fairly successful season. The players, both boys and girls, did their best and had lots of fun playing. C

aaanqe ng!! The Orange E is a Club composed oi school lettermen. At the beginning of the basketball season, all new lettermen were initiated and welcomed into the club. All men lettering in basketball were initiated during the second semester. Funds were taken from the club's treasury to purchase a practice dummy for the football team. A smoker is planned for next year, as Well as many other interesting activities. The Orange E has been growing steadily, having about three times as many members now, as a year ago. gm' ew GI The Girls' Club this year is composed ot the tour grades in the high school since the Freshmen were voted in at the beginning oi the year by the other three classes, who were automatically already eligible for membership. The purpose of this club is to serve the schoolg promote girls athletics: develop cooperation RL LUB among the tour classes: and sponsor social activities tor the high school girls. All mem- bers are required to pay dues. President .
