To start the year off We were initiated on November l5, we then elected our officers, they were President, Larry Smithy Vice-President, Bob Roberts: Secretary-Treasurer, lanelle Plotts: Student Council Representatives were Mar- velle Groff and Bob Oja. Second semester officers were President, lerry Gib- bons: Vice-President, Don Loan: Secretary-Treasurer, Patricia Nixon. Student Council Representatives were Bill Black and Ardyth Vaughn. We started the year off with a bang by helping With the Freshman initia- tion. The officers for the first semester were President, Bob Ojai Vice-President, Eleanor lohnston, Secretary-Treasurer, Patricia Nixon. Student Council Repre- sentatives were lanell-e Plotts and Dale Palmanteer. Second semester officers were President, Bob Calverlyg Vice President, Don Loang Secretary-Treasurer, Ardyth Vaughn: Student Council Representatives were limmy Harmon and Doris Correll. Tom Bickford, Fred Wikner, Don McGonegal, Pete Fitzgerald, David Notaras On the sunny day of September 4, l945, thirty four curious students enrolled in the Sophomore class of Ephrata l-ligh School. The first activity which every member of the new class participated in was the initiation which was sponsored by the upperclassrnen. With the survivors from this ordeal they finished their Sophomore year ending it with a successful swimming party at Blue Lake. The class officers for the first semester of the Sophomore year were: President, Bob Burd: Vice- President, Willard Womack: Secretary-Treasurer, Marcia Lewis: Class Representatives, Elaine Rose and Ray Smith. Second semester officers were: President, Willard Womack: VicewPresident, Pete Fitz- gerald: Secretary-Treasurer, Bob Burdp Class Representatives, Shirley Affleck and Don Britt. To start the Iunior Year they initiated the Freshmen, found time to put on the Iunior Play, and spon- sor the Iunior prom with a Chinese Garden as the theme and the Iunior-Senior Banquet, all of which turned out a big success. The class officers for the year were: First semester, President, Pete Fitzgerald: Vice-President, Don McGonegal5 Secretary-Treasurer, Iune McDonald, and Class Representatives were Ianet Lunn and Buster Boruff. They were welcomed by the Freshmen initiation which was held on Oc- tober 16, l7 and 18, it is something they won't forget.
