Sail, sail, thou mighty ship Which lands on shores anew, Bringing people young and old To a land of freedom true. Among those who came to our land Was a lass so fervent and fine. She came to spend a year with us - A friend of yours and mine. With an eager spirit and desire to learn She's impressed us through the yearp We've learned to know her very well We'll hold her fond mem'ry most dear. We, the Class of l959, wish to dedicate this yearbook to our German exchange stu- dent, Barbara Kruse. Having ioined us in our senior year, Barbara has taught us much about her native land, and in turn has learned much from us, We hope that she will always have pleasant memories of her days in Ephrata High School, and that she can consider this a year well spent.

7 The stars above us govern our conditions. - William Shakespeare Althou h we do not all believe in astrology, we were all born under certain stars. Perhaps 9 our days at Ephrata High School have been guided by the stars. For this reason we have chosen The Stars and the Zodiac as our theme. Now that we are ready to graduate we hope to catch a star of success which will lead us to a happy future. So now with great pleasure and pride, we, the class of '59, present to you this 1959 Cloisterette.
