CLASS HISTORY- PROLOGUE In September, 1953, we, the class cf 1957, eagerly entered Frata High, look- ing forward to meeting the many new students who would share our last four years of school. The main event of the year was our Freshman Party which was thoroughly enioyed by all. Muriel Myer and Larry Loose represented us on the Student Council. Returning as scphomcres, we held our first electicn cf officers. Our presi- dent was Claude Lynch, vice-president, Tom Eraman, secretary, Paula Flory, and treasurer, Myron Fasnacht. Our Student Council representatives were again Muriel Myer and Larry Loose. As iuniors we elected our class officers as follows: president, Larry Loose, vice-president, Claude Lynch, secretary, Paula Flory, and treasurer, Bob McCoy. Sally Lied, Sara Risser, Carl Martin, and Lee Wilhelm were the Student Council representatives. Chosen as our class colors were baby blue and white. As hosts to the seniors at the prom on May 4, we chose the theme, Rhapsody ln Blue. ln the fall of 1956 we entered E. H. S. for the final step of our high school career. We knew the time would quickly fly by, and we would soon go our sep- arate ways. Larry Loose was again chosen our president, Darryl Sensenig, vice- president, Paula Flory, secretary, and Bill Rohrbach, treasurer. As repesentatives to the Student Council we selected Ann Homsher, Muriel Myer, Pat Sweigart, Carl Martin, Ken Sensenig, and Lee Wilhelm. For the first time in history, Ephrata High had an undefeated football team, and as seniors we were proud to have nine of our fellows in the starting line-up. On May 3, we were entertained by the juniors at the prom. With Baccalaureate, Class Day, and Commencement exercises over, we set out to fulfill our dreams and ambitions, never forgetting the essential part of our growing-up spent in Ephrata High School. 12
