Gur basketball team was cheered to success by Shirley Mentzer, Joan 1V1ohler. and Shirley Godshall. On April 29. we held our Freshman Dance. As sophomores just entering senior high school, we elected the following officers: president, Larry Eitnier: vice president. Lester Strauchg secretary, Joanne Rishelg treasurers, Nancy 1V1oh1er and David Grilfithg Student Council repre- sentatives, Patricia Loose and Nevin Crowther. Edwin Gooding and Lester Strauch served as secretary and treasurer, respectively, in the newly organized Key Club. Many of our members found time to participate in extra-curricular activi- ties in spite of the difficult course of study we undertook this year. The prom was considered the most uniquely decorated for many years, the main attraction being a revolving crystal ball which cast colored reflections throughout the gym. ln the fall of 1951 we entered the doors of E.H.S. lor the beginning ol our last and most glorious year in high school. Under the tutelage of Mrs. Mildred Leisey, they practiced diligently every Nlonciay and Vvecinesciay during the half-hour activity perioci. In addition to this harci work they entertained the school in numerous chapel programs, Thanksgiving and Christmas programs, and the annual Spring Festival. Besides preparing musical numbers, they also acicleci skits to go with their music, all of which proved to be quite entertaining.
