We, the Senior Class of 1982, being of sound mind and body, fin our own opinionj, do hereby will the following: To Willie Moreno, Noe Terrazas, being an astute trainer, leaves the ability to find 'em young and teach 'em early. To Randy Lee, Mark Hester leaves his 1,614 one liners guaranteed to charm, persuade, and otherwise confuse members of the opposite sex. To Carlos Lopez, Jeff Dorotik leaves the authority to stand in the hall, harass freshmen, defy authority, the lame leg excuse, and all other reasons, to be late unexcused, or just absent. Oh yes, he also leaves one sack of sheep feed. To Jimmy Hester, Mark, jeff, and Noe have chipped in and bought a ten year old black hat because everyone should own at least one hat younger than themselves. The remainder of the Senior Class' worldly goods will be sold, and a wardrobe of shoes will be purchased for R. T., so that he will never have to play another basketball game in girl's shoes. To Oscar Alcala, we leave one 350 gift certificate to buy a Liberace comb and mirror with rhinestones, and the Mr. Hunk Strikeout Award. To Karen Gesch, Linda Kalina, leaves her collection of cowboy shirts with cancelled tickets attached so that she may enter any dance within a 50 mile radius, free of charge, plus her permission to be the main attraction during intermission, provided, of course, that she does nothing to bring shame to Linda's spotless reputation. To Lorraine Torres, Irene Martinez leaves her ability to dribble low, set screens, move her pivot foot . . . all of this during a basketball game, with her mind in Mereta, and her heart in San Angelo, and the motor running in the little red car. But remember, Lorraine, it takes gas to keep the motor running. To Diane Lopez Ruiz, Melissa leaves her ability to keep a low personality profile. On several occasions, no one knows how many, she has disappeared from school and no one has missed her. Where does she really go at lunch, and why doesn't she always return, or does she? Diane, you must remember to use this trait with care, and find a parking place off the main road if you are to maintain this fantasy. In conclusion, the Class of '82, the best class to graduate from Eola within the last year, leaves the Class of 783 some of our expertise, and ability to get out of any andfor all of anything that has the slightest hint of requiring ef- fort. We realize that your attempts to meet our expertise in the areas are doomed to certain failure. Further, we want to take this opportunity to thank all of the teachers and staff for doing so little for us, for so long, while expecting so much. You have truly helped make us what we are today. It's not our fault. 3 Nice Couple! Bones for the . . . dog!', .QL BANQUET if ax. 4 D' I V 3 Jimmy, sit down, this is my speech! Sure Linda . . . a flat tire!! .lm Every year the Juniors have the privilege of hosting a banquet in honor of the Senior Class. Along with footing the bill, we are charged with the task of predicting the Seniors' future. We've done the best we could with what we have to work with. Come with us and we'll take a look ten years hence. We see little bitty Irene still little bitty. Her goal in life was to grow to a height of 5' 2 . Although she will never reach this goal, she has found her a 6' plus husband and is raising 5' 4 kids. She may be little bitty in size, but she's tall in heart. Noe, poor thing, has just lost his job as Stage Manager at the Eola Theater of Fine Arts for cutting short any play he didn't like or he thought was too long. He is still riding his 1000 Harley down the back roads of Eola with Irene spitting bugs out of her teeth. We see Linda teaching a Home Economics course at A 8z M on the finer arts of raising pigs. Her monthly phone bill to Eola is atrocious-those calls to Teresa for advice on how to get an Aggie in a pickup at a dance really adds up. Jeff, who still doesn't drink carbonated water, just completed his twelve month course he started at TSTI upon graduation in 1982. He opened a car lot of pickups in Eola and Winters. He doesn't sell them-he just drives a dif- ferent one everyday of the week on his way to Court in his heated battle to get his name legally changed to Jeffy! Melissa has opened a school for models-her three daughters, ages 7, 5, and 3 run it. She and Gary are mar- ried-they live in Dallas, Texas, where her modeling school, Fine Make-Up Hints for Future Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders , is established. Her clients must be from 3 to 9 years of age. Q Mark, our only celebrity, has replaced Johnny Carson as host on the Tonight Show. He told us he owes all his suc- cess to Mrs. Phinney. Since he's in the money, he will take up Gary's payments to Oral Roberts-Mark asked us to tell Mrs. Phinney-Cod Loves You- . By the way, Mark is continually searching for a date-so much for success. Mr. Wood, we see in ten years, running up and down the hall of Eola ISD with his army hat perched atop his head, crazed-expression, wild-eyed-yelling-GET TO CLASS-and he doesn't even teach there! I tried to tell you we didn't have much to work with, didn't I? Actually, we have probably done all right in our predictions of the Seniors' future-but do us a favor-when the benediction is over-please stand aside for the juniors' exit! bmi No!! AD INISTR TIO Congratulations Seniors: Even though you will be moving on to other things, the success of the efforts of the School Board, Administration and Faculty will not be measured until the years to come. For this reason, the interest of all of us concerned travels with you, although our direct contact and influence can not. You may rest assured that your future success will also be our success and rewards. It is my sincere wish that the influence of the Board, Ad- ministration, and Faculty of the Eola l.S.D. will assist you and that your memory of our efforts will be understood, ap- preciated, and useful to your path to success in life. ROBERT C. LACY, Superintendent Seniors of 1982: You are about to embark upon one of the greatest adven- tures on the sea of life. This sea can be calm, yet, within a twinkling of an eye, become a raging torrent that will threaten to tear your boat apart. I hope that we at E.H.S. have helped you to prepare your boat so that it will withstand each and every storm of life. May love, courage, and a positive attitude be reinforced in- to the hull for strength, and your sails be made strong with hope and faith in yourself. But let none of us forget that Master Builder who guides our every course in life and is always there to help, if we will only ask Him.
