During our Junior year the Girls Club started choosing an outstanding irl each month, in which she would wear a bracelet, and she then would e identified as The Girl of the Month. These girls have been Girl-Of- The-Month out of our class: Janice West, Marjory Packwood, Gena Diss- more, Pat DuPius, and Marlene Roundy. Lee Roy Hensley and Ronnie Franklin led us throu h a. successful Junior year as our Presidents. While starting higi school with forty-five students, twenty-seven will graduate. Janice West, Marjory Packwood, Rush Roundy, Lloyd Jackson, laudia Davis, coming from Ardenvoir have completed all twe ve years together. Chuck Asher, Gary Kanzler, Robert Cowan, Don Chappell, Bill Hughes-, Pat Hughes, Gena Dissmore, and Cleo Whitehall, all completed twelve years to ether in Entiat. Arnold Googell and Earl Goman joined us. Arnold Goodell, Betty Carter, Duane Allen, and Marlene Rasped drop ed during the year. One of the first events of the year was the Clarnival, in which we were very proud to have Pat Hughes as our Candidate. Nine boys turned out for Football, seven for Basketball, and several for Baseball. Lee Roy Hensley was Captain for Football, and Tony Gojenolla received the Inspirational Award for Football. Six girls and one boy turned out for Tennis. Ronnie Franklin and Shirley Carmichael were song leaders for the student body for the year. Our next big event was the Christmas Dance, with the theme, Night Before Christmas, everyone who attended had a wonderful time. Our Senior Play, The Big Blow Up under the direction of Mr. Wall, and Student Director Rita Russell, was a big success, and everyone enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed utting it on. There were five members in the Honor Society. Pep Club members were: Janice West, Gena Dissmore, Cleo Whitehall, Marjory Packwood, Shirley Carmichael, and Claudia Davis. Janice West was chosen to represent the school in the Daughters of the American Revolution contest. Cleo Whitehall was chosen to represent our school and community in the Washin ton State A ple Blossom Fe stivalg Cleo really made a charming Princess. Jxlext came Exe choosing of the Prom royalt g and we were leased when Donna Huffman was selected Queen and Clraudia Davis and, Janice West were selected as her Princesses. Each year the E-Club chooses a girl to be Sweetheart, this year Cleo White all was chosen. Girls who have been Girl of the Month are: Janice West, Betty Carter, Donna Huffman, Cleo Whitehall, and Rita Russell. Our class Presidents, Chuck Asher and Tony Gojenola, led us through another successful year. We would like to mention that Mrs. Albin is the only teacher still with us that taught us in grade school. She taught us in the First Grade and in the Fifth Grade. For everyone to see is the 54 which appears on Numeral Mountain.
