PEP CLUB The l9S2-53, Pep Club, which is the service organization of the school, continued its routine duties this year. Taking lunch money, collecting for assemblies, taking money at games, plays and at all school programs. At the beginning of this year we med for the first time fifteen members, however we soon lost three members, leaving the original twelve Later on in the year two other girls withdrew, Bette Olin and Betty Carter were selected to take their places. Members are chosen for this organization by their scholarship, service to the school, and qualities of character. Highlight of the year was the Initiation of new members, it was in the form of a pot luck supper at Mrs. Kinzel's house. There was an abundance of good food, topped off with homemade enjoyed the luscious eats, but Oh! our suffering initiation was held for our two new members. On girls took the required initiation pledge during every girl was presented with a carnation. ice cream. Everyone waistlines. Bette Olin Paper Reporter E CLUB n n proud to say that our new Gym was dedicated to our advisor, We wish to expr :s our appreciation to Mrs. Kinzel for 2nd. Semester Jacquie Weimer Donna Vogt Claudia Davis Bette Olin Janet Schimke Donna Vogt The E' Club continued the Thanksgiving Project-donating well filled baskets to the Welfare Department for distrihution to needie families. Excitement and romance accompanied the Traditional Sweetheart Dance as each lad whispered nsweet nothingsn to his lass. The club provided a new service this yeur-hall patrol. The patrol was to report all disorierly conduct to the Student Jury, who conducted court on Mondays-to determine the penalties for each offense. The Club sponsored a Smoker to provide funds for the new Score Board, that has been used in the New Gym this season. The member's feel that they have had a successful and progressive year under Mr. Lo1os's wise guidance. Officers for the year were: lst. F.H.A. The F.H.A. year started off with the installation of officers leaving the initiation of the new later in the year. members until One of the high lights of the F.H.A. year was the annual Mother-Daughter Banquet, held December 9, at the gigh school. Seventy mothers, daughters, and teachers attended the dinner. Entertainment was provided by some of the girls. Marge Packwood was chosen to represent our school in the district Cherry Pie Baking Contest. Marg took first place honors along with the Soap Lake contestant. Both girls received recognition for their entries in the state contest in Seattle. lst. FIFIAQ The Future Farmers of 1952-53 under Mr. Denham's wise guidance opened their fall activities with entrances in the Chelan and Waterville Fairs. A number of the boys received' ribbons for their displays. The Club purchased chickens for the poultry project but unfortunately coccidiosis ruined the flock. The treasury has mounted to near the 3200. mark through card sales. The money remaining from the yea s expenditures has been placed in the Wbuy a truckn fund. 0fficer's for the year were as follows: lst.
