HISTORY Twenty-eight excited happy Freshmen stormed the Entiat High School in the fall of '48, it didn't take the sophomores long to get us initiated. The girls were made to dress in overhalls and shirts wrong side out and backwards. Their hair, which was Washed the night before, was arranged in a stunning new fashion, abso- lutely untouched by the teeth of a comb after the long nightvs sleep. The boys wore skirts and blouses and carried tin cans and baby bottles. That night we went on our humiliation treck through town and finally the high and mighty sophomores took us through the Wchamber of HOTTOTSUQ Eight of our boys made headlines in school sports. A f 'fiil 'hw.'l'eE2 cv? s x f Rosemary Whitaker was our Freshman Representative in the Annual school Carnival. We were sorry to in se Rosemary in 149. We started off our Sophmore year by initiating the nFroshn. During the year we gave three dances and two assemblies. This same year we were joined by Clem Little who got right into the groove by making headlines in sports. Also prominent in sports were Don Olin, Ray Bisping, Tracy Hornbuckle, Carl Montogomery, Dale schimke, Howard Hinton, Clayton Mccord, Bob Patrick. Bob Patrick won third place in the State public speaking contest We gave four plays. WBessie The Bandits Beautiful Babyn, HLOSU and Foundu, UHist she's a Mann, and House of GT6Sdn. In these all the class participated. They were very successful. We appre- ciated Mrs. K1nzel's wonderful direction of our plays. In our Junior year we were joined by Lowell Morical, Juan1ta Hanford, and Carol Burch.

Lowell Morical, Dale Schimke, BOD Patrick, Tracy Hornbuckle, Don Olin, 'Ray BiSPiI'1g, Clem Little, Howard Hinton participated in sports. 1 HThree Misses and a Mythn, our Junior play, a most hilarious comedy was enjoyed by everyone-even Miss Tenney, whom we ran almost crazy. Maxine Sage represented us in the '52 Carnival. All three '52 Cheer Leaders were from the junior class. They were Shirley Roller, Dixie Galbraith, and Donna Vogt. The girls were really full of pep and school sprit. The spring Prom, on the Bottom of the Sea , with soft---soft lights, shimmering ceiling, and the charming royalty: Queen Glenda Buckley and her Princesses Janice Asher and Joan Cozart, will linger elusively for years to come in the memories of the gay dancers. We started our Senior year with twenty-five members. Of these twenty-two will graduate. Four who have completed all twelve years of school together are Dixie Galbraith, Lillian Wolf, Howard Hinton and Don Olin. This year Lillian Wolf was the elected representative for the Senior's at the Carnival. our Christmas Dance with its theme Nsilver Bellsn and its plenti ful supply of misletoe, gave many a swain a chance to kiss his maid. Our senior play WHouse for Sale Hauntedn, was a huge success, even though it curled your hair, froze your blood, and chilled your bones. Shirley Roller was chosen Princess Entiat. She,1ndeed, made an charming and capable princess. We fondly recall the '53 Junior Prom with our lovely senior queen, Q een Dixie, reigning over the WEvening in Paris along with her two princesses Donna Vogt and Dean Hall.
