IN MEMORY OF CHARLIE ROWE Count the blessings for Charlie Rowe, for all who knew him loved him so. His wishes were many; His deeds were few; His ambitions were scattered, those that he knew. Count the blessings for Charlie Rowe, for he carried a smile with a tortured glow. Yet, he rests in a place much better than this. Who's to judge what Cod thinks' best. Count the blessings lor Charlie Rowe, what would become of his life, we’ll never know. Although he’s gone, his memory will last, for the lives he touched were so very vast. It is a fact that not a single person involved with the hand during the summer of 1979 would even dare dream of such a high honor being a warded tojTiejr band. It was known as the impossible dream, but herein 1980 the Wildcat March- ing Band not only took first place in their class at every contest they attended; they reached the imPOSSIBLE dream. The superiority that was evident to all who saw them perform their halftime show was not due to luck but rather to the excellent job done by band director, Bill Hickman and associate-director, Danny Meeks. A tremendous amount of hard work, dedication, and love was put into this fine organization by the 174 talented students who make up the band as well as excellent student leadership from the Senior Class of 1980. There were, however, seven students whose leadership of the band on the field as well as off was considered irreplaceable, and those outstanding seniors greatly de- serve recognition. They are; Crystal McCall. Drum Ma- jor; Velvet Jeter, Color Guard Captain; Melanie Hagler, Flag Sergeant; Karla Crumpler, Head Majorette; Wally Bigler, Percussion Leader; Rob Paul ana Beth KirkT land. Band Co-Presidents. Enterprise High School would like to express their grateful appreciation to the Wildcat Marching Band for representing them so well throughout the 1979-80 school year. 223 REQLILA R SEASON PI A YOEFS Enterprise 28 Ozark 6 Enterprise 31 Murphy 21 I Regiohals) Enterprise 35 Troy 0 Enterprise 28 Kay Minetfe 7 (Quarter Finals) Enterprise 35 Selma 0 Enterprise 9 Jeff Davis 7 (Sen i-finals) Enterprise 27 Pine Forest 21 Enterprise 14 Vesta via Hills 13 (Finals) Enterprise 26 Ft.
