FOREWORD Chart reading is one of the major phases of instruction taught in the Aviation Tactics School. Ramona McGilvary, a former Enterprise High student, Miss Army Aviation”, as she appeared on her float Fort Rucker Day, November 11. Gayle Condrey, Jan Franklin, Laura Benton, Enterprise High students, chosen Sweethearts of the 351st Division and presented Fort Rucker Day, November 11. We of the ENCOALA Staff present the 1956 edition of the ENCOALA as a living record of the school year 1955-56. This record could not be complete without some mention of Fort Rucker which has so much enriched our school and community life. It has brought us new students from far away places who have broadened our outlook and made valuable contributions to our school. It has brought a new prosperity to individual students as well as to the school as a whole. It a with this in mind that the ENCOALA Staff has worked to produce an annual which will be a joint tribute to Fort Rucker and to Enterprise High School.

MR. J. W. REEDER WE SALUTE YOU Serving quietly and efficiently Mr. J. W. Reeder has become an important and integral part of Enterprise High School. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he will be long remem- bered by many students as a sincere and trusted friend and counselor. His untiring patience and his genuine interest in his students have created for him a definite and distinguished place in the life of our school. For these reasons we proudly dedicate the 1956 ENCOALA to Mr. J. W. Reeder One example of the fine spirit of cooperation between Fort Rucker and the city of Enterprise is the Fort Rucker Day celebration which was held on November 11, 1955. This is a scene from the parade on that occasion. Troops from Fort Rucker are saluting the reviewing stands in downtown Enterprise. On the re- viewing stand are dignitaries from Enterprise and Fort Rucker.
