Parallelograms, triangles, polygons-- all the figures of plane geometry under- went cross-questioning at the board. STAFF MRS. JO ANN MILLS B.S. Troy Mathematics In algebra one of the methods of solving for unknowns was graphing them. MR. C. E. PEACOCK Math, Science B.S. Troy Mr. Peacock refereed basketball games played by the Junior High boys in their P. E. period. Students in first year algebra began working with complex fractions. MRS. MAE WEEKS In their studies of health, Junior I students used charts of the structure of the body. Junior I social studies classes did oral reading with pauses for explanation

STAFF Fimiliar to all her students is the U. N. flag which hangs in Mrs. White's room. MRS, KATHRYN WHITE Social Studies A.B. Huntingdon The Student Council set the date for Homecoming and made plans for the parade and entertaining the classes who were guests on this day. Mrs. White was sponsor of the Student Council. MR. HARVEY MURPHY B.S. Troy M.A. Columbia University Practice, practice, and more practice went into the preparation for A team basketball games which Mr. Murphy coached. Coach Murphy supervised work in the Booster Store at recess and helped make order of the confusion. The first year Latin students dressed dolls attractively in the traditional attire of the Roman. Mrs. Bates’ biology classes took a six-weeks course in first aid. At the end of this time, those passing examinations were given a Red Cross First Aid Certificate. MRS. STAFF Second year typing students did outside work, such as typing letters and address- ing envelopes for mailing lists. Mrs. Reeder is a faculty sponsor for the Cup MRS. KATHRYN REEDER Typing A.B. Huntingdon Care of the typewriters was an important part of learning to type. These first year students learned the proper method of cleaning the keys. O' Coffee and the ENCOALA Tiie FFA, of which Mr. Reeder is sponsor, had as one of its projects the operation of concession stands at football games. MR. J. W. REEDER Vocational Agriculture B. S., M. S. Auburn As one phase of their third year in agriculture, these boys studied landscaping and shrubbery identification. MISS ANN ARMOUR B. S. University of Alabama Miss Armour taught private piano lessons. MR. C.A. FEAGIN Diversified Occupation B.S. Auburn Mr. Feagin checked the progress charts of his D.O. students individually.
