The ENTERPRISE Safety Department is a small but essential part of the ENTERPRISE Team. The Safety Department is responsible for implementing a comprehensive safety program based on objectives established by the Commanding Officer. In carrying out this Safety Program, the ship ' s Safety Department must promote maximum cooperation in Safety Matters at all levels, ensure a wide distribution of safety information, monitor the submission of required safety reports, and maintain appropriate safety records and statistics. In implementing safety programs involving General Safety, Aviation Safety, Motor Vehicle Safety, Environmental Protection, and Personnel Safety, the Safety Department must instill all crewmembers with an attitude of Safety Awareness on a daily basis.
