Music Department Anyone who has an ear for music and enjoys singing can join our choral department. Of course, it is not all fun and games. Both choirs and the vocal classes work hard all year round, but especially at Christmas time. This year the variety of music for the Christmas concert ranged from Sleigh Bells to Handel's Hallelujah Chorus. In February, the choir goes to dis- BOBBY MCCUU-'AR trict competition at Shades Valley High School. If good enough, they will then go to the University of Alabama for state competition. The choir has two new additions to it this year. First, our new director, Mr. Bobby McCu1lar, who has been a fine director as well as a great friend to all his studentsg and second, the new white blazers with navy blue skirts and scarves for the girls. The four divisions of the choral classes are the Girl's Glee Club and the Boy's Vocal Class, which are open to first semester studentsg the Choir, composed of upper semester vocal studentsg and the ensemble, which is open to the better voices of upper semester vocal persons.
