Senior Hsfory In the fall of the year 1937, September to be exact, there entered into the Senior High School of Enola, a class of neophytes, destined to put things in a general up-roar, faculty as well as fellow class-mates. We, the class of 1941, can truthfully say in many instances that we have achieved our goal. Out of the ninety-six Freshmen students, sixty have hurdled the obstacles placed before them, and have come out on top. In june, 1941, these sixty students will receive their long awaited diplomas. In our second year, our leaders were Spurgeon Gohn, president: Russell Welsh, vice-president, Helen Bohn, secretary, and Richard Bressler, treas- urer. Numerous dances and parties were held during the year with john Paul and john Yurgel acting as advisors. As an extremely active junior class, our list of successful events is quite impressive: the class play, Going On Seventeen , and the annual junior- Senior Banquet which was held at the Hershey Country Club, May 18, several dances, and two skating parties. Our class oflicers for the year included Kenneth Moore, president, Spurgeon Gohn, vice-president, Gladys Laverty, secretary, Edward Lentz, treasurer, Betty Hivner, historian, with Richard Rosenberry and john Paul serving as our advisors. At the first meeting of the Senior class the officers were elected for the year. The presentation of the Senior Class Play, Hot Water Henry , and the publication of the ENOLIAN were the activities which drew the atten- tion of the class. During the year we also held two dances and three skating parties. PAGE TWENTY-THREE
