The students appreciate them not only for their beauty, but also for the progress and the standards which they represent. Many Ennis citizens have helped to construct the educational standards and to improve the school system. Such citizens are the memb e r s of the Board of Education--A. L. Thomas, E. C. Oats, joe Hawkins, Leo Kirkpatrick, S. S. Whitlock, Phil Todd, and W. R. Shween-who show a genuine interest in the students welfare. The Parent-Teachers Association under the leadership of Mrs. john D. Pol- lan has improved the Ennis Public Schools in many ways. To these organizations a nd to every other citizen who has done his share in the forwarding of education in Ennis, the student body of Ennis High School expresses sincere appreciation.
