Exhibits of Roman chariots, a watch tower and battering ram prove interesting to Wayne, David and Johnny. LANGUAGES The knowledge of one or more Foreign languages is adistinguishing mark of being welleducated. Included in the curriculum of Enka High School are two years of Lat- in, a classical language, and two years of Spanish, a modern language. ln addition to studying the Roman language, students learn about the culture, customs, govern- ment, and literature of ancient Rome. Al- though Spanish students spend much of their time learning to speak and write the language, they, too, study customs, music, art, and literature of the Spanish people. By studying Foreign languages and cultures, o ne's understanding of other races and na- tionalities is deepened. Brenda, Martha and Loretta look at the map of Celtic Gaul, in preparation For the study of Caesar's Gallic wars. Students learn important dates connected with their Spanish.
