Future Business Leaders of America are business students of Enka High School who are interested in learning by partici- pating. They certainly have had numerous opportunities this year. First of all, they sold ads for the Enkanoca. They held bake sales and even had the privilege of giving Miss America, Maria Beale Flet- cher of Asheville, one of their cupcakes. FBLA members also published student dir- ectories. FTA is a club for prospective teachers open to all sophomores, iuniors, and sen- iors. To join one must have an applica- tion approved by the sponsor, Mr. Mc- Cracken, and the associate sponsor, Miss Gosnell. FTA helps prepare students for the teaching profession. During the year FTA promotes White Christmas and College Day. College Day is the main proiect of the year. Members also act as substitute teachers when a teacher is'absent.
