Assistant Mead Master ' s Message Mr. William Devore As the time for graduation draws near, I welcome this opportunity to say a few words in parting to the members of the Class of 1966. The Class of 1966 has been a good class, and one which has carried out its responsibilities in a most satisfactory manner. In many respects it has been an excellent class; for it has been quick to foster good school spirit, provide needed leadership to the undergraduate body, and maintain the high scholastic standards that are expected of English High School men. I therefore wish to commend you on your splendid efforts to date and to express the hope that you will continue to strive to succeed in the future, so that each may find in a life well lived his own best development. The race is not always to the swift. Many of you whose scholastic grades were not excellent will, I am sure, find rich opportunities for successful growth and achievement in the years that lie ahead. These will be years of opportunity for those who are mentally alert and educationally qualified to make the most of them. Therefore may I urge you all to take advantage of every educational opportunitj ' which may be yours. May graduation mark for you the beginning of a life of purposeful endeavor and worthwhile activity; and may you achieve the aim of e ery English High School man — to become a man of Honor and Achievement tlirough Service to Mankind . God Bless you all. William Devore, Assistant Head Master
