Not only do these teachers accomplish riiat which they are expected to, but they also go far beyond the required to accomodate the many trying demands of high school students. It would seem that these teachers have been endowed with an extra measure of patience with which to cope with our many problems, occuring all too often in our high school lives. Mead Master ’$ Message As the time for graduation draws near, I welcome this opportunity to say a few words of thanks and appreciation to the members of the Class of 1962 for their splendid service to the school. Yours has been a good class and one which has done much to raise the level of achievement in scholastic and extra-curricular endeavors. You have fostered good school spirit, provided needed leadership to the undergraduate body, and maintained the high scholastic standards that are expected of English High School men. Most of you have taken advantage of the opportunities which the school provides to prepare for further educational opportunities on the collegiate level or to develop marketable skills for business and industrial vocations. You are graduating in the Space Age, an age which will make increased demands on all for wisdom and understanding as well as for efficient and accurate use of knowledge. These will be years of opportunity for those who are mentally alert and educationally qualified to take advantage of them. Therefore, I urge all of you to make the most of your talent and ability through higher education, further study, and additional training. Only thus can you achieve your own best development and use your full potential to realize the aim of every English High School graduate to become a man of honor and achievement through service to mankind.”

One can only guess at the number of students whose lives and careers have been made success- ful directly through the efforts of one or all of the teachers pictured on these pages. The num- ber must be great indeed, for not only have they been of immeasureable service to the class of 1962, but also to manv graduating classes that have preceeded us. These few lines can hardly express the feelings of gratitude shared by so many for these teachers However, we merely wish to show these men that their work on our behalf does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. In short, “Never have so manv owed so much to so few.” FRANK A. REPETTO Ph. B. Boston College Ph. B., Ed. M., Boston College Appointed September, 1931 ROBERT G. SIMMONS A. B. 1919, Ed.
