fe ...gs wr- ... 0UR PRESlIDENT9S MESSAGE ONWARD, ever onward moves the wheel of time, and as it draws us toward the closing moments of our memorable days at English High, I wish to thank you for the trust and confidence you have placed in me as the leader of your class. Although I would feel honored to be given the leadership of any English High School Class, I am even especially proud to be President of this class of 1941. When we entered this school it was rich in traditional supremacy in all things, we are leaving it richer. Not only have we gained our custom- ary triumphs on the athletic field, but we have also acquitted ourselves very ereditably in our scholastic and social endeavors. The reason for this is found in the support you have rendered your class officers, and in the spirit you have manifested in school activities. The time that we have spent here has been too short, but the thoughts and memories we have gathered here will linger in our minds forever. The friendships that we have welded here will never be broken, but will live and thrive in the traditional English High School spirit. ' ' We cannot rightfully leave these halls without giving a sincere tribute to the faculty of our school for guiding us over the many juts and crags which lay in the path of success. The appreciation of the aid and knowledge that they extended to us, and especially our headmaster, Mr. Albert F. Reed, is something that we shall always remember as we strive forward toward our Goal of Honor and Achievement. PAUL F. SWEENEY President
