We are not quitting, leaving all we have At these diverging ways. For we have known them, not for what they Happy songs, earnest prayers. Cold steel, gray stone. ' ' ' ' gh, and mean it, as we go. CLK PI5CSI[)ENT § ME§§AGC As the famous Walrus is alleged to have said, the time has come to talk of many things. The bell is about to ring which will close our last class at English High, and we are about to take our place beside the men of Honor and Achievement who have graduated be- fore us. But not one of us, I am sure, leaves these hallowed study halls without a feeling of sincere regret that relentless time has so quickly ended these four happy years. When I say that we are sincerely thankful to our Headmaster and to all the members of the faculty for the wise counsel and guidance given us throughout our stay, I feel that I voice the sentiment of the entire student body. Personally, I shall always be grateful to my fellow students for the trust and confidence which they have reposed in me as the president of the Class of 1938 of The English High School. It is my honest conviction that the Class of 1938 has established a splendid record of loyalty, co-operation, and class-spirit. The members have shown themselves ever ready and eager to further, encourage, and assist our plans for the advancement and betterment of the Class. It may be justly said that the members of the Class of 1938 have set a high standard of achievement for those, who in turn, shall follow them at this, Our English High . Frederick L. Linn (8)
