The other teams will probably remember us as well. We provided stiff compe- tition, and will be known as the team that was better than their re- cord. The team opened up hot with two quick wins against Cass Midway and against West Platte. The optimism was running rampant, but the win- ning streak didn't continue. The final record was not an indication of the teams ability. The team was not average, by any means. We had six 44 players score over twenty points in individual games. Our team was not like any other. There was not just one or two stars as is usual on most teams. We had seyen different starting line-ups throughout the year due to injury, sickness, etc. That shows us that Englewood's team had many tal- ented players. The loyalty of the fans, and the nev- er-ending support of Coach Mark Erickson, helped to instill pride in the players, in spite of the unfavorable record, u iw' ?
