,sf yllu 1 'Z 1 the 1985-1986 basketball team was a team of opti- mism at the beginning of the season. Due to gradu- ation there were no returning starters from the pre- vious year. Although there was not a lot of varsity experience on the team, most of the players had played together on the junior varsity team. The team worked very hard in practice to be the best that it could be. The retreat at Marshall and the I Can Clinic got the season rolling on a positive note. One of the bright spots of the season came in the Leeton tournament when the team was seated seventh out of eight teams. The team ended up taking second place in the tourna- ment, losing to St. Pauls in the championship game 61 to 47. The team finished the season with a 12-12 re- cord. rg .s. iii ,f 81 -'
