Girls State and Boys Sta are sponsored by the American L gion Auxiliary and the American L gion. Girls State was held at Ou chita Baptist University in Arkade phia and Boys State was held at tl University of Central Arkansas Conway. To qualify, students must ha ve a 3.0 grade average, and be in the top 202 of their class. Gary will be attending the second week of February. Stephanie attended it the last of January, but because of hazardous weather condi- tions, she came home early. STEPHANIE DUNAR ENGLAND HIGH GOES TO SPECIAL OLYMPICS Several students from England High School went to Pine Bluff to particiapte in the regional meet for the Arkansas Spe- cial Olympics. The Special Olympics program applies to all handicapped students who are not participating in any school sponsered athletic program. These students may choose two events in which to participate.
