A Time for EDA. 20 Pulaski O A great 2nd half comeback and a willing defense resulted in the Rebels season opening victory in War Memorial Stadium. Dennis Lovelace, Chipp Frizzell, and Tony Bogy all scored for the Rebels. Briarcrest 20 E.A. 7 The Briarcrest Saints used Rebels mis- takes to upset the home team in their 3rd game of the season. The Rebels were plagued by fumbles and penalties through out the contest. Tony Bogy caught a Chipp Frizzell pass for the Rebels only score. Jefferson 3 EUAU O A field goal was all it took as the Jefferson Patriots knocked off the Rebels for undis- puted league supremacy. The Rebel defense played inspired football throughout the game as they held jefferson 3 times inside the five without giving up a touchdown. 90

Dennis Lovelace, Tony Bogy, Robby Robelot, Chuck Overton, Steve Gibbs, Jeff Jones, Jimmy Cannon and Tlravis Woosley all scored for the Reb- e s. The Rebels had to subdue a battling bunch of Bruins to obtain their 3rd win ' 'X of the season. Robby Robelot, Jeff Jones and Dennis Lovelace also scored for the Rebels. Mike lVlcGhee, Danny Cox, Lindle Sheppard, and Danny Lovelace led the defensive charge.
