To Sir, With Love The graduating class of 19H5 takes great pride in dedicating this yearbook to Mr. Dennis Girard. In 1982 we entered Enfield High School as all other anxious underclassmen do; yet, we had an advantage other classes did not have. The familar face of Mr. Girard came with us to Enfield High School. At John F. Kennedy Junior High School we had just begun to know and love Gil” Girard. Mr. Girard has taught English for seventeen years, three of them have been here at Enfield High School. Since our freshman year he has given so much to our class. He has been with us on class trips, proms, and class nights, and this year he is our much- valued senior class advisor. The first things that come to mind when we think of Mr. Girard are his friendly personality, his abundance of understanding, and most of all his outstanding talents as a teacher. Mr. Girard transcends the level of teaching because he truly cares about his students, and he will leave a lasting impres- sion on all of us. iWkbdle Bouscfuet

w e see brief pictures flash onto the screen. The movie is ending. We are now beginning to add the next sequel to our lives. Some of us have already seen the previews. Our cast of friends will change. New faces will appear, and some will stay the same. We are not only the writers and direc- tors of our futures, we are the stars. There can be no understudies. The work we have done will be reviewed; parts will be criticized, and parts will be praised. Many of us will go on to win awards and achieve fame. It is our hope that as we go on in life. Echo 1985 will provide a brief look back into the past — back into 1985, our year, our time, and the movie” we all made together. Audrey Fusco Editor, Echo ' 85 2

Movies liave become an important part of our lives. Thev reflect the times, the people, and the changes in today’s societv. That is whv we felt that movies would be a titting theme tor Echo 85. X ' e set the stage tor the opening scene ot this vearbook on August 7. 1984, when a group ot seniors went to the East Windsor Drive-In. These pictures are just a preview ot some ot the tinest moments trom our senior year. We hope this vearbook has recorded our tondest memories at Entield High School. We don’t want these times to be Gone With the Wind ” but a permanent memorv ot The Wav We Were. ” Ltumi Cinscnulra Kim Mcii’ io
