Curtiss, Dave Flower, Dan Garvey, Dennis LePage, Bill Nehila, and Ray D ' Amato. The Girls Swim Team was developed in our Junior year at E.H.S. Representing our class were Vikki Burington, Nancy Crompton, Carol Mathieu, Debra McCully, Sandy Stratton and Laurie Wagner. The Boys Swim Team added Juniors Marcel Dubois, Pete Felix, Paul Gracewski, Greg L ' Herueux, Eric Longfellow, Jeff Thibodeau, and Bill Thomson. Another new sport was introduced this year. Appearing on the Ice Hockey Team for the first time were; Jim Bousquet, Comie Buanno, Steve Desroches, Tim Grigely, Wendell Grigely, Charles Hart, Roger Ingraham, Phil Pouech, and Mark Rhodes. In the spring of 1974 the Track Team went co-ed. Joining the team were; Debbie Boisjolie, Vikki Burington, and Tina Lapointe. New male members were; Daryl Dumala, Howard Edgar, Dan Martin, James McCarthy, and Jim Vallee. On the Boys Tennis Team were Russ Miller, Steve Cote, Mark Folsom, and Brian Hallett. The Lamplighters presented two excellent plays that year Flowers For Algernon and The Night Thoreau Spent In Jail. Our Junior Prom was held on April 6 and was entitled Moments to Remember . Entering the National Honor Society were; Sue Bousquet, Kathy Bride, Martie Cass, Kathy Coughlin, Madlyn Crowell, Fred Fisher, Kathy Deryer, Kay Dripchak, Carolyn Eberle, Nancy Fontana, Barb Grape, Patty Healy, Alton Huntley, Laura Jarmoc, Sandy Kweder, Janet Lane, Eric Longfellow, Tracy Lovell, Karen Nelson, Karen Martinson, Lynne Mathieu, Kathy McGuiness, Kathy Sherwin, Phyllis St. George, Tracy Strickland, Debbie Wilson and Bob Zannoni. Bob Zannoni and Peter King were chosen to go to Boy ' s State while Debbie Wilson and Kay Dripchak were chosen to attend Girl ' s State. Kathy McGuiness was given the Yale Book Award and Janice Cerrato was the Connecticut Association of Womens Deans and Counselors winner. Laura Jarmoc was the recipient of the Walter Rensselear Polytechnical Institute Math and Science Award. 1974 had been a good year for us. We had progressed much over the previous year and now anxiously awaited our final year at Enfield High School. September had finally arrived. We were Seniors and there was no one better. Chris Andrews was re-elected president of the Senior Class. Patty McGowan was our new vice-president and Leslie Malone our new treasurer. Kathy McGuiness was re-elected secretary and Tracy Strickland continued as Class historian. Our Football Team gave us a very fine season under the leadership of tri-captains Dave Flower, Rich Morris and Joe Dippel. On the Soccer Team Steve Magora and Pete King led us through the season and through two victories over arch rival Fermi High. The girls had a dynamic season on the hockey field with Co-Captains Shelly Turgeon and Sandy Bailey. Three new names appeared in cross country; Mike Cooney, Jim McCarthy, and Jeff Thibodeau. Co- captains were Rick Levasseur and Mark Thorstenson. Leading the cheers which lead our teams on to victory was head cheerleader Sandy Kweder. We lost a close basketball game to Fermi for the first time, we killed them the second time. Our captain was Center Jim Hayden. Our Ice Hockey Team was captained by Tom Cummings. Cheering at the basketball and hockey games was well known Section 32. The Girls Basketball Team played a good year under the leadership of Shelly Turgeon. Vikki Burington was captain of the Girls Swim Team, while John Carollo lead the Boys Swim Team. This years Wrestling team was tri-captained by Bill Nehila, Dave Flower, and Dan Garvey. Our final event of the season was the winter prom, Friends and Lovers. Our Senior Class Trip was to Washington D.C. where we mixed a little education with a lot of fun. This years presentation by the Lamplighters Drama Guild was one of their finest. The Mouse That Roared. It starred Brian Smith and Tracy Lovell, and Mike Castelvetere. Hitting off the spring sports was our Baseball Team. Captain of the Raider team was John Carollo. Four seniors joined the Track Team this year; John Boudreau, Marcel Dubois, Rick Landry, and Bill Snow. Captain was Frank Gould. The Boys Tennis Team was captained by Mark Folsom and Brian Hallett. The Girls Tennis Team had a fine year. They were led by Co-captains Pat Healy and Phyllis St. George. We rounded out our year with three memorable events as we reached the turning point in our lives. Thursday June 5 was Class Night. Finally on the following day Friday June 6 we the Class of 1975 graduated. On Saturday June 14 the Farewell Prom When Will I See You Again was held at the Sheraton Inn. The insecurities we brought with us in September of 1972 have long since vanished and will now be replaced by the warm memories of friendships we have made and experiences we have shared.
