FOREIGN LANGUAGE The Foreign Language Department of En field High, under the direction of Mrs. Hintlian, offers three basic courses: French, Latin, and Spanish. All of these are taught through a combination of classroom instruction and practice in the language laboratory. This year, Spanish students have been especially fortunate to have Mrs. Becker, a teacher who is originally from Mexico. They also had the advan- tage of meeting and conversing with four students from Mexico who visited in Enfield for two months. Mr. Taylor points out an important region to his economics class. we explored our international heritage, SOCIAL STUDIES Enfield High School is extremely fortunate in having an excellent Social Studies Department. With the help of an experienced, adept staff we are guided through a journey of the past, in order to under- stand the present, and to predict the future. This year, “Mighty Mac”, our new experimental social studies laboratory, has become a reality.
