ENGLISH English is perhaps the most important subject we study. Without the proper skills in communication, we may never understand each other, and without understanding there cannot be progress. Enfield High offers a varied course of study with- in this department. The English curriculum also includes Speech, Journalism, and Reading. This year a new course, Reading II, may be elected as a non-credit subject. Under the direction of Mr. Palotta, students perfect their reading new mechanical devices. 10 Students improve their reading skills with the help of Mrs. Torre and Mr. Palotta.
