PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE We leave the halls of Enfield High School as older, wiser, and more mature indi- viduals. Yet, along with this growth is a general feeling of uncertainty toward the puzzling world we are about to enter. Just as, four years ago, we found ourselves as bewildered freshmen longing for the status we had acquired in junior high, we today long for the security we have attained here at Enfield. We face the same situation today, as every past generation has, for society thrives on man’s dependence on one another. Alone we cannot change the world, but each of us can be one glowing spark, kindling the fire of hope for a bright future that awaits us all. LAURA BAIONE CLASS HISTORY Freshman year was our first chance to gain the further enlightenment of education necessary for our future. Our first combined class activity was choosing our class officers. We chose Tim Riley, President; Larry Baione. Vice-President; Laura Baione, Secretary; Ned Arcoutte, Treasurer; and Nora Jamieson, Historian. Our student council representatives were Janice Wojnar, Rita Worth. Jan Kaminsky, Peter Grace, Lee Snyder, and Don Bania. Honor was brought to us in the field of athletics by Ned Arcoutte, Frank Thompson, Alan David, Tim Riley, John Follis, Dan Naughton. Dave Dastous, Joe Nosal. Dave Tucker, and Robbie Robinson all of whom achieved recognition on the J.V. football team. On the basketball court were Joe Nosal, Alan David, Russ Tyler, Dave Tucker, John Ravenola, Jim Arietti, Bill Malinoski, Fella Olshafski, and Dan Naughton. Cheer- ing for the J.V. basketball team was Rosemary Sullivan. On the baseball diamond were Dave Tucker, Alan David, Russ Tyler, John Ravenola, Bill Malinoski, and Randy Ladd. Ken Breedon received recognition as the only fresh- man on the Varsity Soccer team. Scholastically, Nancy White received an English com- position award while Cindy Shea and George Rypsyc re- ceived Scholastic Art awards. Charles Lamana was the recipient of the Business Mathematics award. During our sophomore year, the flame of knowledge was intensified. 24 We chose to lead us in our activities: Laura Baione, President; Duane Nelson, Vice-President; Cheryl Molyn, Secretary; and Gerald Dumond, Treasurer. Representa- tives elected were Peter Grace, Terry Calnen, Jerry Cal- nen, Don Bania, Jan Kaminsky, and Lee Snyder. On the gridiron, Joe Nosal, Russ Tyler, Alan David, Frank Roy King, and Joe Paquin suppressed the opposi- tion. The J.V. basketball team consisted of sophomores Joe Nosal, Alan David, Dave Tucker, Robbie Robinson, John O’Dell, Jack Prazner, Jim Arrietti, Bill Malinowski, Jack Triolo, John Ravenola, Rich Gwozdz, and Bill Kiernan. Rousing school spirit for the J.V. team were Jane Sanger, Linda Porcello, PeggyDiMaria, Cetta Angelica and Linda Yoreo. Russ Tyler had the honor of being chosen the only sophomore on the varsity team. Rosemary Sullivan was a varsity cheerleader and Cindy Shea was g majorette. Ken Breedon, Jim Bergeron, and Rich Gw'ozdz made points on the soccer field while Ray White represented our class on the hockey team. Our first class project was the hootenanny, “Blowin’ in the Wind.” The M.C.’s for the night were Laura Baione and Tim Riley. Talent included Rosemary Farley, Kathy Steinert, Jane Sanger, Linda ‘Yoreo, Pat Blowen and Chris Asselin. Mr. Gross’ Drama Guild, The Lamplighters, continued in their traditional production of plays with their out- standing portrayal of “Inherit the Wind.” Highlighting
