Included in the offered courses are general science, physical science, earth science, biology, physics, and chemistry. In all science courses, the student is trained in the techniques of scientific method and investigation.

Mathematics is an especially important step in this direction. Students have the opportunity to study subjects ranging from Math I and Algebra I to Trigonometry and Calculus. Many of us have received these benefits and we are confident that our mathematics depart- ment will continue to enlighten the many underclassmen to come.

HOME ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT The home economics student, provided with many modern facil- ities, acquires varied skills neces- sary to her future role as wife, mother and homemaker. Cooking, family nutrition, serving, and home budgeting are among the few skills focused upon during the year. The Home and Family Course prepares young men and women for their potential roles in marriage and parenthood. HOME ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT. Left to right. Vicki Jones manipulates her drit-o-trainer car. DRIVER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT The driver education department, on a tri-semester basis, is one of the most popular elective subjects offered. This course, equipped with classroom films and driv-o-trainer cars, develops the skill of the students before going out on the road. In addi- tion, the classroom instruction offers the basic rules and regula- tions with which all drivers must be familiar before obtaining a license. Mr. Peter Stasko. Driver Education Instructor.
